On the foreshore of lake keepit, suitable for caravans and powered sites available.

This is a great family campsite as there are a range of activities to keep the kids amused. Apart from the obvious swimming and fishing, there is also a decent playground, and a "waterplay park" which has a couple of spinning, spraying thingamagigs that wet them down on hot day (Sorry for the crappy description).

The (tent based) camping area is grassy and has a fair bit of shade in spots. You can camp right on the edge of the lake and pull your boat up on the shore.

A camp kitchen is provided as well as a kiosk, fuel, bottle shop (yay), ice, telephone and take away food. It kind of makes it not really camping I suppose...

If you are a bit scared of swimming in the lake, and would prefer some chlorine, there is also a small wading pool.

Fishing

I have never managed to catch anything here, however I think that is more up to my skills than on a lack of fish. There are reports of good sized cod, yellow belly, perch etc. and it is really a popular spot for fishing.

The boat ramp is excellent and has a small jetty that runs alongside it for easy access for passengers. This is something I really appreciate when launching the half cabin and getting the kids aboard.

Accomodation Options

If you are not that keen on the whole camping thing, there are also cabins, on-site caravans and "camp-o-tel tents". There are also powered sites with concrete pads for caravans.
