Lakeside Campground - Lake Eildon National Park

Located on a hillside above Coller Bay of Lake Eildon within a large National Park.

Many sites slope, most are best for tent camping. Most in close proximity to each other. Thin shade.

Pleasant aspect over lake. 1 wood & 1 electric BBQ, communal. Boat ramp. Popular.

Kangaroos abound and koalas, wombats and echidnas are common.

There is a large number and a wide variety of bird species, including kookaburras, rosellas, king parrots, cockatoos, eagles and water birds.

Previously cleared for farming, the regrowth forest is relatively dry Stringybark, Peppermint, Red Box, Candlebark and wattle. Wildflowers are prolific in season.

No generators or chainsaws.

This campsite is accessable with regular 2wd vehicles.

Getting there

Situated on the western edge of Lake Eildon.

Access from Alexandra: East 17k up the U.T. Creek Rd then 3k down Fraser Park Rd. Right 2.7k at the Park Entrance Station past Stockyard Bay to near the mouth of Coller Bay.
