True bush camping on a private farm.

Camp in serenity, privacy and security whilst enjoying a true Australian bush eco camping experience within the boundaries of a private property. From our years of experience with travellers staying on our property, we know people seek an authentic bush break. Old Bara offers just that, it is the real thing.

Bookings are taken and confirmed with the payment of a deposit (non refundable) to guarantee the site you choose in advance is yours; no need to rush to beat the crowds. Park your van or pitch a tent on Old Bara. Choose your site on a stunning private cattle property that offers over 1100 acres of beautiful countryside.

Amenity blocks on site. Voted the best loos in Australia by our many well travelled campers! Water on tap but no showers. Drinking water also available.

With a range of wildlife to see, bird calls to identify, yabbies to catch, as well as several walking and cycling tracks to explore, lots of space to fly a kite, go for a swim in the creek, kids are welcome to bring kayaks and small boats, you are bound to have a unique and entertaining time. See the stars like you've never seen before - away from any light pollution.

With a wide choice of camping sites you will be sure to find one that suits you as you sleep beneath a night sky full of stars. We pride ourselves on not over crowding our campers even on busy weekends.

Plenty of Firewood available for you to collect around the property. If you have a chainsaw and accredited chainsaw ticket, you are welcome to cut already fallen timber.

All our campers must take all their rubbish away with them (including zip ties!!) as Old Bara is a working cattle property. Please bring rubbish bags with you.

Sorry, no day trippers.
