An old timber-mill site in the flat hung valley of the Mackenzie River, above Mackenzie Falls.

Good shade provided by pines and Stringybark, surrounded by a Stringybark forest with a thick understory of tea tree.

Can be popular, sharing of fireplaces may be necessary. Tap & 'bush shower'.

This site is accessable by caravans in good weather.

Getting there

Situated in the centre of the northern Grampians, just below Lake Wartook dam.

Access from Halls Gap: West 15k up the Mount Victory Rd [C222], right (north) 1k on the Wartook Rd, right (east) 0.5k on the Old Mill Rd (gravel).
