Lumbys Bend Campground

Last Updated Jun 2013

Lumbys Bend has picnic tables You can go fishing at Lumbys Bend You are able to canoe in Lumbys Bend

Great little free camping area right on the Murray river.

As with most campsites along his stretch of the Murray, there is an abundance of birdlife, as well as access to this iconic river. There are no defined sites, however there is plenty of shady grassed areas for pitching a tent.

The ground is mostly level, and the grass seems to be kept short (cattle graze here occasionally so that might have something to do with it).

The banks of the river are fairly high and there is no beach so accessing the water is not quite as easy as some of the nearby campgrounds.
