Currenly Closed to camping, day use permitted. Alternatives nearbye...

Unfortunately, due to a problem with the septic tank, this camp area has been closed to overnight camping. A temporary solution has allowed day use visits.

It appears it may not be re-opened for camping.

Closest RV friendly town is about 27km south (Uralla) and has a few options for free camping.

Wooldridge Fossicking Reserve is only a few km off the road, town has a few great little local shops, supermarket, petrol etc See link on left for more details.

Alternatively, if heading towards Bundarra, there is Yarrowyck on the Gwydir River, great spot by an old bridge, very beatutiful.

Further out that way is the Lions Park just before Bundarra, again on the river. Look out for Platypus in the afternoon.
