Coles Crossing has picnic fireplaces

Recent reports are that this campground is now closed, if anyone has more information, please post a comment.

On the edge of the Cox Scrub Conservation area, this is a basic bush camp site set in native forest.

The area is popular with mountain bikers, birdwatchers (look out for Yellow Tailed Black Cokatoos and honeyeaters) and bushwalkers. Spring is a great time to visit when the wildflowers put on a magnificent show.

Be aware that camping in this park is not permitted during the bush fire season which is usually 1st November to 30 April. Check local fire bans, and in times of extreme danger the camping area may be closed.

You will need to bring your own drinking water or if you take water from the creek, take it from upstream of the crossing and treat (boil for 15 minutes) before using.

There are fish upstream.
