Number One has toilets Number One has picnic fireplaces There are bbqs available at Number One Pets allowed in Number One

This is probably the most popular campground in Mount Disappointment State Forest and can get quite busy on long weekends.

It is a very large, open campground and easily accessed, so is very popular with groups, especially 4WDers and trail bike groups.

It is however a very attractive campground set in native bushland, and out of season is reasonably quiet.

Thanks to Peter for the following updates.

Three semi-dispersed large open areas on a broad plateau surrounded by forest.

Shaded by Messmate and Mountain Ash with wattle understory.

Extending well away from the forestry/tourist road some large cement floor slabs remain from the old sawmill.
