Reedy Lake Rd runs round the western and north western edge of the forest for over 4k, with 4 access tracks leading off to the lake.

The first and last tracks offer the best opportunity for getting well off the road. The last track has a BBQ by the gate and access to a low forested ridge (useful in wet weather).

Rated 4.4/5.

The middle 2 tracks are short, the lake being within view of the Reedy Lake Rd.

Plentiful bird life, including waterbirds. Yabbies in the lake.

Remnants of Carrows sawmill can be found, from which red-gum sleepers were taken by horse tramway to the Goulburn Valley Railway, explaining the lack of mature River Red Gums.
