Thin shade from Peppermint and Messmate, surrounded by forested 75 acre Special Purpose Reserve.

Short walks to blast furnance ruins (information plaques), iron mines and dam outlook over Bengal Dam and Moorabool River valley.

Picturesque 30m Lal Lal falls, 2.5k from Lal Lal and Ironmine Rd junction, is best after rain.

This campsite is accessable with regular 2wd vehicles.

Getting there

Access from Clarendon on Midland Hwy [A300] north-east 4k up Lal Lal Road, continue over railway line 0.8k up Lal Lal-Harris Rd, right (east) 4.7k on Ironmine Rd (last 2k gravel, last 1k steep) (keep left at junctions on entering and leaving)
