This open, flat and shady campsite sits on the edge of Coochin Creek in the Beerburrum State Forest, only 90km north of Brisbane.

There are well marked campsites suitable for tent or van camping. There are also great fire pits with flip top barbecue plates. You see many different designs of these wood fired barbecues and this is one of the better ones. You will need to bring your own firewood, as collection in this state forest is prohibited.

The toilet facilities are very well maintained and even have wheel chair access. There is also a tank with a tap off the amenities block however, being rainwater it is advisable to boil it before drinking.

Boating and Fishing

There is a good quality boat ramp about 1km from the campground and smaller one at the campground. Watch out for shallow water on the inside of bends and take it easy if you are not familiar with the creek. Coochin Creek can be quite a fertile fishing area for Mangrove Jack, Bream and Mud Crabs.
