A pleasant, grassed (slashed), gently sloping picnic ground, shaded by Yellow Stringybark and white trunked Mountain Grey Gums by a swampy water hole surrounded by wattle and green bush.

The fenced 4 tables & BBQs are across the access road from the parking area - best for tent camping.

100m east of the formal picnic area is a semi-secluded level clearing with one table, shaded and surrounded by bush, vehicle accessible.

Rated 4/4

Rosellas, cockatoos and kookaburras are common. Koalas, kangaroos, wombats can be found through the forest

Nature trail (2k, 1hr) north up creek through Grey Gums (E. cypellocarpa)

Getting there

Situated in an isolated, dry, flat forest north of Yarram, south east of Traralgon.

Access from Yarram: North east 3k on the South Gippsland Hwy [B440], left (north) 9k on the Hyland Hwy [C482] to Won Wron, right (east) 5k on the Won Wron (Napier) Rd (gravel), left (north east) a few metres up Lowes Rd, reserve on left.
