In spite of being a caravaner`s overnighter, some very pleasant shady campsites can be found here.

This is a very well patronized 24-hour rest area, however there are numerous possible camping sites away from the main area-- up to kilometre away if you escape via the old Telecom service tracks.

Compared to the other rest areas along the Barrier Highway, this appears as an Oasis... There is plenty of shade, the vegetation and grass keeps much of the dust down, and there's a drop toilet, covered picnic tables, and a water tank.
