Burke River (Boulia Racetrack) riverbank camp. Peaceful and shady sites along western bank of Burke River approximately 4.5 kms NE of Boulia.

Not all sites accessible by large rigs; ideal for Campers Trailers and smaller units. No facilities.

Seems popular site, with plenty of firewood around. Camp oven heaven.

There are (apparently) toilets and (cold?) showers at Racecourse, but too far to walk without packed lunch! Reasonable mobile coverage (Telstra).

Don't be surprised to see camel with rider going through their paces through the campsite tracks.
