Lovely tranquil spot on a working mango and cattle farm in the Whitsundays Region.

Plenty of shady trees, abundant birdlife and grassy lawns.

There is an option of renting a room suitable for group or couple or single. There is also powered and unpowered sites for caravaners and campers.

In the evenings you are welcome to sit around the campfire, share stories and nibbles as Lyn cooks one of her tasty dampers in the camp oven.

There is a resident kangaroo who is usually enjoying a shady tree and waiting for a photo from visitors.

Just 10km from Brisk Bay, 10km from the iconic Big Mango. 20mins to Bowen and 1hr to Airlie Beach.

There are the following facilties: camp kitchen, dining area, fire pit, gas BBQ, toilet and shower amenities, coin operated washing machines, clothesline and a dump point.

This site is accessable by caravans in good weather.

Getting there

Located 20km south of Bowen or 50km north of Proserpine on the Bruce Highway. Turn onto Mookara Road for 4km. Look for trains before crossing the railway tracks and then watch out for cattle that may be on the road.
