Free camping under the bridge near the Botanical Gardens

This is a fairly basic spot, and very popular with the grey nomads, so not an ideal bush setting or quiet camp.

The botanical gardens however are definitely worth a look before heading off in the morning and the local council have done a great job upgrading this spot.

Town is a short stroll away.

There are public toilets available and a 20 hour limit (on the camping, not the toilets).

This is an OK spot to stop on your way through if you just need somewhere to park up for the night. You will get a fair bit of road noise from the highway as well as the odd train.

The area gets very muddy after rain and the council often closes the campground if the weather is bad.
