Two segregated, attractive small grassed clearings overlooking the wide and deep lower Glenelg River.

The parking bays are short, narrow and slope - designed for tent camping.

Bush setting with good of shade from Yellow and Red Gums, backed by Brown Stringybark forest. Bird life prolific.

Spring brings wildflowers and orchids. Kangaroos and emus are common in the surrounding forest.

Access

This campsite is accessable with regular 2wd vehicles.

Getting there

Situated on the northern bank of the lower Glenelg River, south-west of Dartmoor, south-east of Mt Gambier.

Access from Dartmoor [A1]: South-west 12.3k on Wanwin Rd (11k sealed), bear left (south) 2.2k on Wanwin Rd (limestone gravel) continue south 2.8k on The Fence Track (good sand), right (west) 1.9k on Fireline Tk (sandy), left down a sandy track 200m to the river.
