Basin Corner Campground

Previously an informal bush camp. Unconfirmed if camping is still permitted.
Informal bush camping on two small, green, ridge top forested clearings on each side of the Beenak Rd at the East Beenak Rd junction.
By the eastern edge of Kurth Kiln Regional Park.
The northern site is shaded by large, old Blackwoods. The southern site features short grass and Tea-tree screening. Both are surrounded by lush green wet sclerophyll forest, with shade from large Mountain Ash and Blackwoods.
Bird life is plentiful, including Kookaburras, Rosellas, Parrots and lyrebirds.
Access to the southern site is being impeded by encroaching Tea-tree scrub. Access to both sites may be difficult after heavy rain.

Location information for Basin Corner
This campsite is accessable with regular 2wd vehicles.
Access from Tims Corner on the Gembrook-Launching Place Road (11k north of Gembrook, 14k south of Launching Place): East 7.3k up the Beenak Rd to the junction with the East Beenak Rd.
