Commercial campground on the edge of Glenlyon Dam with powered sites, hot showers and kiosk.

This is a commercial campground, so don't expect a total wilderness experience, however it is on the edge of a very attractive body of water, Glenlyon Dam.

There is a good quality boat ramp for the fishing enthusiast. You can try to catch Murray Cod, Yellow Belly and Silver Perch Here, and will probably end up with eel tailed catfish.

As is common with a lot of these dams, you have to watch out for the remaining trees that may be just submerged depending on water level. This timber is often a good spot to chase the Murray cod who are territorial and can be coaxed out with an aggressive lure. I am told golden perch are common in here too.

The camping area is grassy, and there are powered and unpowered sites suitable for big rigs. There are also cabins if you don't feel like pitching the tent.

The amenities blocks are well maintained, there are free barbecues and the kiosk sells ice, bait, tackle, fuel, gas, some basic staples as well as hiring out boats. There is also some play equipment to keep the little people occupied.

The dam is also popular for water skiing in the warmer weather, and there are not boating restrictions (apart from around the dam wall).
