Camping area in the old ghost town of Watsonville, surrounded by large trees and and native birds.

Perfect for small groups, family and dogs as area is fenced.

Go hiking up to the old tin mines on Western Hill just 10 minutes from the camp or swimming and fishing in the Walsh River just 5 minutes by car.

Rubbish and waste must be removed by campers.

Access

This campsite is accessable with regular 2wd vehicles.

Getting there

Get directions from Google: 31 James Street, Watsonville QLD 4870. Watsonville is 10 minutes drive from Herberton on the road to Petford. Turn left at the famous windmill in the middle of the road and onto James Street. Buy supplies in Herberton.

Campsite is suitable for tents, camping trailers and shorter caravans. 4WD not needed.
