About Toolangi State Forest

The Toolangi State Forest covers the northern slopes of the Great Dividing Range (Victoria Range) between the Melba [B300] and Maroondah [B360] Highways.

Thanks to Peter for providing information on this State Forest

Most of the forest was destroyed by the 1939 & 2011 fires, but feature tall Mountain Ash and thick rainforest in the high-altitude high-rainfall granite derived soils, with Messmate, Mountain gray Gum, Red Stringybark and Narrow-leaved Peppermint on the slightly dryer, lower, northern slopes.
