A small clearing perched on a steep mountain slope above the Thompson River surrounded and well shaded by lush sclerophyll forest.

An old house site, mostly sloping. Well grassed. An interesting, unusual site.

Convenient to historic railway.

This campsite is accessable with regular 2wd vehicles.

Getting there

from Traralgon [A1]: West 3k on the Traralgon West Rd [C477], north 6k on the Tyers Rd [C481] to Tyres, north 26k on the Tyres-Thomson Valley Rd [C481], right (east) 5.7k down the Walhalla Rd [C461], left just before the Thomson River through car park, 200m along narrow track. (walk in fist)
