Very pleasant, narrow, extended river flats shaded by open Peppermint, Manna Gum, Blackwood & wattle over short green grass.

Good gravel access track. Surrounded by the forested foothills of the alps.

Upstream is tunnel in a horseshoe bend of the Howqua Rv at the foot of Tunnel Spur. North, over the river, is the South Buller Cr and track up Four Mile Spur to Mt Buller. Horse yards. Popular.

This site is accessable by caravans in good weather.

Getting there

From Mansfield: East 21k on the Mount Buller Rd [C320] through Merrijig, right (south) 18k up then down the Howqua Hills Rd (gravel) , cross the Howqua River (road now called Brocks) to Sheepyard Flat, left, a further 2.1k, signed, gravel track on the left.
